Ashes to Ashes follows the phenomenally succesful “Life On Mars”, continuing the story of DCI Gene Hunt (Philip Glenister). Unfortuntely, Sam Tyler (John Simm) does not return. DI Alex Drake (Keeley Hawes) is a sexy sophisticated police psychologist from 2008 who has studied the world of the now deceased Sam Tyler. When she is shot, she awakes in 1981 having used Sam’s fantasies, mixed with her own. She must stay alive in order to return to her daughter Molly.
